This morning began with a tragedy.   A couple of dogs got
into our neighbor’s fenced yard and attacked their geese.  Those geese are their cherished pets. One goose was  killed and the other wounded and bloodied.  When  we saw the dogs and went to alert the neighbors, the dogs were trying to get at their rabbits, too.  The damage had already been done.

They loved those geese. Why did this happen to the innocent geese – in their own yard, not bothering anyone.  My heart ached for this family.  I had to remind myself that dogs are  animals and animals do animalistic things.  The greater problem is when WE act like animals and attack each other.

Please join me for a brief prayer on my new
prayer blog.

Instead of asking for the strength to hold on, sometimes, we just need to ask for grace to be held.  God can hold us in His hand far better than we can hold on to His.  The question is:  Would you rather hold on or be held.  Most days, I think I would fair better being held.

Be it ever so faint, I can still smell it.
It is a sweet fragrance.
It tickles my nose.
It teases me.
Nevertheless, it is still sweet.
It's time to make some things happen.
It's getting closer.
It's getting stronger.
It's the sweet smell of success.
