Determined to exercise!
It's late.
The local community centers are closed.
The YMCA is about to close.
Hubby just came home.
I am determined to exercise!
Don't want to leave since Hubby is home.

Hmmmmm????

Determined to exercise!
I turn on the radio and listen to the Bible teachers.
Turn up the volume.
Set the timer.
Strap on the ankle weights.
Grab the hand weights.
Making good use of my open floor plan.

Round and round I walk.
Again and again and again.
Up the stairs.  Down the stairs.
Then I jump in place.
Determined to exercise!
And I did it!

Each Day

How blessed I am to have a Savior.  How determined I am to please Him.

Each day is a fresh start.  Each day is another chance.  Each day is worth living - in Christ.

It's all about Him.
To Him I owe my life.
To Him I give my praise.
Because of Him I am what I am.
Because of Him I will be even better, one day.
To Him I give all the glory and honor.
Without Him, I could do nothing.
Where could I go without Him and why would I want to be there anyway?
Without Him there is no me.
Without Him there is no purpose to my life.
To Him belongs everything that is worth anything.
I long for Him.  I thirst after Him.

My husband (him) is super, but, one day, God will call him Home.
My children (hims) are the best, but they will, one day, all leave the nest to start their own nests.
Only my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Him), can be my everything - for He will be with me forever and ever.  Amen.

Everyone has a something with which they struggle.  Your "something" might be easy to me and a struggle to you.  My something might be easy to you and a struggle to me.  But everyone has a something.  One thing for certain, our struggles, whether great or small, are all easy for God to handle.  He makes certain that we aren't carrying any more than what we can handle.  He NEVER sets us up to fail.

For God, all our struggles are easy for Him.  So, why not let Him carry the load.  He's willing AND able.

There's no something to great.  There's no something too small.  My Lord can carry them all.

God Can

God can do it, be it, and see it.  Whatever your need - God can.

Mind what you confess.  Your words DO matter.  I can’t say that I completely understand this, but I’m learning that our words do have a profound impact.  I use to say that I was tired and old.  That was my response to nearly everything.  It wasn't long before I began to internalize it.  I can't, truthfully, say that I'm young and energetic, but what good does it do to drill it in my head that I'm tired and old?  Is it of any help to me?  Does it encourage or inspire me to do better?  No, it makes me want to give up and call it a day.

My new confessions:
I am anointed to speak
I am called to speak.
I am fully committed to God.
I am surrendered to God.
I am consumed by the Holy Spirit.
I am saturated with the Word of God.
I am full of wisdom.
I am unstoppable when God directs my path and when God says it’s time to move out on HIS Word.

So, what words do you want to speak over your life?

Sometimes God’s love is so intoxicating, it leaves me speechless.

It's comforting to know that God understands, even when we don't.

My family visited a church a few days ago.  The musicians were awesome!  Once again, my mind went back to the days when I dreamed of being a super musician - but that takes practice and I did not intend to do that kind of work.  It wasn't long before I slipped into my usual if-only-I-had-practiced mode.  I could have had such an amazing ministry, whine, whine, whine.  I felt so left out.  In spite of my careless behavior of not practicing when I was young with tons of time on my hands, God has a place for me.  He reminded me that I DO have a ministry.  He still uses me.  He uses me to speak.  I play piano from time to time, but that's pretty much the extent of it.  I get through the notes and do a fair job.  However, when I speak, I feel the hand of God directing every word.  That's my ministry.

God didn't make clones.  I believe all of God's children have some kind of ministry.  For some, they are fully aware of it and flourish in it.  For others, they're scratching their heads as to what it could be.  God doesn't reveal everything to everyone.  Sometimes we're not ready to receive it.  Sometimes it's just not time for the big reveal.  If God has shown you your ministry, shine.  Shine so brightly where God has planted you.  If you're still looking, then look to God first - His spirit will guide you.

What's YOUR ministry?  What has God called you to do?  Post below and let us know.  I'm sure it will inspire others.  I'm included in God's great plan and so are you.

I have some things in my mind that are dream goals.  Actually, I had to create new ones because I accomplished all of the original ones years ago.  Then, I stood around trying to figure out what I was going to do with the rest of my life.  Somewhere in the midst of my pondering, activities, projects, and you name it cluttered my life once more.  All of these endeavors were quite noble, but they were all time consuming.  My dreams headed to the back burner.  Frankly, I was so busy trying to fix everyone else’s issues that, most of the time, I wasn’t even on a burner!

My life is changing - no slowing down, just changing.  The demands on my life are much different than they were.  I was working with a life coach (she contacted me) and she helped me to refine my message.  Rather, she forced me into that position of figuring it out – but that was what I needed to happen.  As I learned more about exactly what I wanted to do – the demands and responsibilities in life kept rising.  Now what?  I got to a point where I decided to put myself on hold, again, and get everyone else taken care of.  Then, another example of God giving me what I needed when I needed it emerged.  I had an offer to take part in an informational call.  I was going to skip it because my brain was already on information overload, so why bother with another “something” that I didn’t have time to do anyway.  Still in the debate mode, I made the decision to call in even though the call had already started.  I thank God I didn’t miss it.

Here’s my take on reaching your dreams.
·        They are achievable if you’re willing to put in the work.
·        Ask yourself some questions:  “Why are you doing this?  Is it just for the possible money?  Is it so you can make a name for yourself and impress your friends?  Is it because you genuinely care about people and want to help them?  Is it all of the above and more?
·        Begin.  Be like Nike – Just Do It!  Everything doesn’t have to be 100% at first.  You’ll get there.  The point is to start somewhere.
·        Take baby steps.  When you make mistakes, they will be much easier to correct.  A $50 mistake is a lot easier to fix than a $5,000 mistake.  Start small and build.

Whether it’s a service, a product, or an idea, if you truly believe in what you are doing – DO IT.  Do it to the best of your ability.  Trust what God has told you and follow the dream that burns within your soul.
